pregnancy test

I changed my birth control two months ago from the pill to the nuva ring. When i was on the pill I was startin my period on friday or saturday (with a sunday pill start). Well, when I switched to the ring I missed my period the first cycle. I did a pregnancy test a day after my missed period and a week after my missed period. Now it comes time for me to take the ring out and I am worried I wont get my period. The pregnancy tests were both negative...could birth control cause the wrong results?? Even a week after my missed period?

No method of contraception is 100% effective except abstinence, but NuvaRing is very effective. I think what you are experiencing is your body getting used to the hormones in the ring. That adjustment can go on for 3 or 4 cycles. If you miss this period I would mention it to your doc and see what s/he advises but I think you should be ok. Let us know when AF shows, ok?
Good luck
Jill
Remember too--the ring has a very low estrogen dose.
