do i need a different pill?

I've been taking Cyclessa birth control pills since about May of 2003. This past March, I got my period during the last active pill week and so it continued for two weeks straight through the active and placebo pills. Now it's April, and I believe I'm getting my period a week early again. I've just started my third set of active pills and I began bleeding today. I'm wondering if this hormone level (Cycless has a low hormone level) is not right for me. I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen a few years ago and I did not experience these problems. Any suggestions, shared experiences/advice would be appreciated.

If your early bleeding is occurring every month could you be doing something to trigger it? Did you change your diet or lifestyle in March? If you are doing something like loosing weight, burning fat releases estrogen which, if you were at a delicate hormonal balance on your pill, could cause bleeding. Or possibly taking large amounts of vitamin C, 1,000mg or more, might cause irregular bleeding. You might want to keep a food-log to see if something in your diet might be the cause. Or, as you suggested you might need a pill change. I’d give it another cycle and see if there is any correlation with what you are eating or doing.
Good luck

I have been taking: a multi vitamin (Women's OneADay); L-Glutamine (500mg); E+CoQ10; Olay vitamins for my skin (Vitamin A 8,000 I.U - 63% Beta Carotene, Vitamin D 200 I.U); and occasionally a joint supplement (Glucosamine 500mg, Chondroitin 400 mg)
I do not plan on discontinuing taking these vitamins so, if you believe my diet and vitamins may be causing this bleeding, would you suggest I look for an alternate pill? or is my diet/vitamin regimine unhealthy?
