Hi everyone! I just have a few questions for you who have expreience with the Copper T, mine was inserted 5 months ago, 8 weeks after the birth of my second daughter. She is now 7 months old and still breastfed. I had my first AF last month, and probably won't have regular ones until we're finished nursing, however, sometimes I feel like I'm on the brink of getting one and it feels crampy, but nothing happens. Do you all think it's possible I'm noticing those cramps because women tend have worse cramps/bleeding with the IUD and my breastfeeding hormones stop the AF from actually coming on? My AF was real heavy and painful, but I couldn't tell if that was because it was the first one since the baby or the IUD. I also expreienced some bleeding after intercourse a few days ago, nothing heavy, just spotting, and not too get too personal but my DH and I weren't doing anything unusual! lol!

TIA

Christina

I don't have the copper IUD but DO have the MIRENA IUD....The first couple of months that I had it I had horrible cramps that "came and went"-didn't last continuously....I've had it about 9 months now and RARELY have any cramps at all...I get slight twinges around the time AF is due....Hope things get better for ya.....
