Update - switch OTC - Alesse - Marvelon

Alright, some of you might remember... I switched from OTC (after being on it for a year I began to get BTB during my third week) to Alesse. Well, with Alesse there was no change at all, so doc switched me to Marvelon. So far so good, however somewhat worried. I'm into my placebo pills - 3rd day - and still no period. When on OTC I would get my period every Tuesday. Should I be worried that it is Tuesday and still no period? I tend to worry very easily and just need some reassurance. I've also noticed that all month my cervical mucous has been quite plentiful and now there's barely any. Could this just be because I'm done the hormonal pills, or could this be a sign of pregnancy. Any thoughts, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated!!!

Different pills may change the day you period will start as will the adjustment your body has to make. And some have said they have even skipped a period(some pills are more prone to that then others-I am not sure what Marvelon is comparable to). As far as the cervical mucus goes, when you are hormone-free it is most plentiful at ovulation and then it lessens. The pill will effect your cm. I would think you are ok, if you started this pill the same time you would have started your old pill and did not miss any pills. Give it a couple more days and if it doesnt start by the time you start your new pack your could take a pregnancy test. Lets us know what happens.

Well, I started today! Very relieved of course, however I was more than likely just over-reacting anyways, just because it was a new pill. Anyawys, thanks for the reply!

I think we all "over-react" when our periods are not the same! I know I do! Glad it showed up. And remember, next month it may do something different also. It will take about three months till your body gets used to it.
