Pill price is changing all the time!!!

This is SO frustrating to me! A few months ago, I was charged $35 at Walgreens

to fill my Cyclessa prescription. The next month (same Walgreens), I was amazed to learn that my pills only cost me $20. This month, I went to a different Walgreens only to learn that I would be charged $34.99 for a pack of pills because a new generic brand was on the market which only cost $15. I didn't quite understand this reasoning (especially since my dr. told me the generic brand was actually quite different than the name brand). I walked away from the counter and decided to try another Walgreens as an 'experiment' of sorts. Guess what? Yet another Walgreens pharmacy was charging $23/pack for my pills. WHAT IS THE DEAL? I never know from month to month how much my pills will cost me, and this is just getting ridiculous! I will pay anywhere from $20-$35/month on a pill pack, and I have no clear understanding as to why this happens. Plus, depending on which Walgreens location I go to, I'm charged a different price. Am I destined to just drive around the city looking for the cheapest prescription? It doesn't make sense -- especially since all of the Walgreens pharmacies are supposedly linked.

Anyone else experience this craziness?

Well, last month my pills cost me 33.99 (Yasmin) and now this month they were 36.99. Not that much of a difference, but it still made me upset. I get mine at Walgreens also, but I haven't tried any other Walgreens to see if the prices are different. I do know at Eckerd it is a bit less.. but it's too far away for me.
