Hi everyone! I haven't posted in a while but I had to come and tell you all about my nuvaring fiasco. So one day I'm having some irritation down there, and I use some monistat, the ovule insert package that stays in your body for a few days to treat you but you only have to use it once. Anyway, the next morning I wake up with a weird feeling down there. I go to the bathroom to check my ring and it turns out I can feel the ends of it, the seam came apart! I had to go to my local planned parenthood to get a new ring. Of course, I didn't think it was a big deal, didn't shower or anything, and my parts are still covered in the medicine from the day before. When I get there the nurse pratcitioner insists on removing the broken ring for me. Of course I resist, thinking about how gross I must be down there, but she wins the battle and it was probably a good thing because she had a tough time getting a hold of it, I probably would never have gotten the thing out. Anyway, after digging around in there and just about killing me in pain she finally gets a hold of the thing and takes it out, and sure enough, it's broken right along the seam, so it's completely straight instead of a ring at this point. I contacted the company and they seemed genuinely shocked that it had broken, and transferred me all over the place to talk to different people. I eventually received a letter in the mail from some head honcho who sent me three free coupons for rings to apologize for the defective one. Great, I thought. So I went in to the office and used the first one without a problem. At this point I threw away the letter because I didn't expect any problem. Turns out now, my local PP isn't getting reimbursed for the other two coupons because technically you are only supposed to use one of these coupons per person. Nevermind that the manager or whatever sent this to me. PP wants to see the letter they sent me so they can pass it on to the insurance company and get their money. Of course, I threw it out. So now I owe planned parenthood like 60 dollars unless I can find this letter or somehow prove that I got these with permission from the company. I plan on calling them tomorrow and I hope they have my name and info on file or soemthing. Any suggestions? Comments? Just thought I'd share my story.

I agree, I think I'd get ahold of Organon again and explain the situation.
