Hey,

I am thinking about going on BC for the first time and was wondering what type you would suggest. Convenience, and least amount of side effects are priority. Right now I am leaning toward the shot, the pill seems like a lot of work and extra instructions. I know BC is different for everyone, but I was just wondering if there was a general consensus.

Thanks a lot.

There are alot of good things said here about Nuvaring. It has the lowest dose of hormones and low maintenance. You insert a flexible ring into the vaginia once for 3 weeks then take it out for a week to have your period and then insert a new one. If you arent uncomfortable about doing that, it might be the way to go. You can do a search here to get others opinions. Let us know what you decide.

There's a link up toward the top of the board called "Birth Control A-Z", if you haven't checked it out, you should!

And when it's said that there's no such thing as a free lunch, the same can be true for birth control.
