There's something about the birth control pill that I've never entirely understood. How can we go seven days each month taking inactive pills and NOT ovulate...yet there's so much concern that a woman might ovulate if she misses one, two or three active pills in a row during the OTHER three weeks of the month? Anyone know? Just curious!! :)

Thank you! I've been totally wondering the same thing . . .I mean especially if a woman has a really short period . . .who is to say that you won't start ovulating during that time? Is it all just chemistry? Do the hormones still function even when you're taking the inactive pills?
