I was on the depoprevera shot up until March this year. I was due for my shot on March 7 but I was never able to get it. For about a week and a half now I have been feeling very nauseated on a constant basis. It passes while I'm actually eating, but comes back immediately after. I'm also suffering from indigestion all day long, even when it's been hours since I've eaten anything. My breasts are very tender and swollen for a week now and ache on and off without being touched. I'm having hot flashes and cold flashes without a temperature (so far). I have to urinate very frequently, just this morning since I've gotten to work at 8 a.m., it's been 7 times. I don't have any burning or itching with the urination and I'm not having any abdominal pain, just cramps occasionally. I haven't had a period since the pregnancy of my youngest daughter, which was over 3 years ago. Now, I know that these symptoms sound a lot like pregnancy and I might be in denial, but about a month ago I had a kidney infection and was treated for it in the hospital. I had most of the same symptoms minus the swollen, tender breasts and the frequent nausea. I had nausea, but it wasn't constant as is now. I'm hoping that maybe these could be some symptoms of IC that someone else has had before. I've also been told that it might be due to a lack of the hormones that my body normally has in receiving the shot for so long. I realize I might be clinging to false hope at the moment, but if anyone's heard of this and it's something OTHER than pregnancy (lol), please tell me! I'd appreciate any comments on this, even if it's not what I want to hear. Thanks.

If I were you I'd tell my doctor what you just told us. Some of your symptoms could be a reoccurrence of your kidney condition and some could be from coming off Depo. If your body is now increasing your estrogen production then that could cause your breast tenderness. For peace of mind you could also take a HPT, just to see where you are. If you do I hope you get the answer you want
I hope you are feeling better soon.
