Anyway, I am going to start taking Levlen continiously (like I would take Seasonale). I just want to be absolutely sure that I am protected when I take the pills this way. It's the same amount of protection as if I were taking my pills in the 21/7 fashion, right? (as long as I am sure to take them at the same time every day) Also, as long as I start my new pack within 7 24-hour-days of taking my last active pill, I'm fine right? I was thinking that I could ease myself into the skipping periods thing by taking two packs in a row, then taking my placebos. Then the next month taking 3 packs in a row, then taking my placebos. So I guess my question is: It doesn't matter how many packs I take in a row, as long as I don't have more than 7 days in between packs, right? Thanks a bunch for any help or advice!

I agree with your idea of easing your body into the skipping periods concept. What I would try doing..... take the first three packs "normally", having a period after each pack. Then do two packs together, I might even do this two or three times. Then try taking three packs together after that. From what I've read about people trying to skip periods, BTB is much more common at first, and many people who first start BCP (or change brands) have BTB near the end of the *first* month. I think this method could work well to minimize the amount of BTB you have to endure. If with your very first pack you experience no BTB, then maybe only take the first two packs normally, rather than three. I think if you start to experience BTB at any stage of this process, finish the pack you're on & then let your body have a period & start over.
Remember, this is only my opinion! No one knows how your body is going to accept these hormones until you try them. I really think the "easing into it" idea should work well, but it might not make a difference!
Good Luck. Keep us posted as to how the process works out for you, I think this sort of concept could be of interest to a lot of women.
