I thought of another question!

Sorry, I thought of another question to ask ya'll. In the sexual relationship I have had, I was on birth control pills, and I also made my partner wear condoms (Not for STD reasons, but for extra pregnancy protection). We were always super careful. So, my question is, how many of you rely solely on pills? I guess I'm just paranoid that I will get pregnant! It just seems like there are SO many things that can compromise the effectiveness of the pill. I guess I would rather be safe than sorry. Also, if you use a combo of pills and some other type of protection, what do you use? I've considered spermicide foam but I don't know how well it works - condoms aren't a whole lot of fun sometimes. Also, in the past when we used condoms with spermicide, they produced a burning sensation for me, so maybe spermicide wont work. Anyway, let me know what you all use, and what you think! Thanks again!
Stacey

I understand your concerns; however, I don't make my BF wear condoms unless I've been taking an antibiotic. I haven't had any problems with the pill (haven't gotten pregnant), and I've been taking it for 6 years.

I have to admit, I sometimes get nervous about it the way you do, but I've spent some time reading posts on this board and I feel like I've really educated myself regarding how the pill works and how I can make sure it's most effective. I've also talked to my pill-taking friends and the vast majority don't use anything else!
I find that the experience is a lot more enjoyable for everyone involved without the hassle of condoms, so I'm learning to trust the pill! :)
Birth control is still effective even during that week? Please tell me it's okay to normally take the birth control pills as they were meant to be and I won't be any more likely to get pregnant.

I'll tell you!
