I know two people on that one and they seem totally fine. They haven't complained about any sort of weight gain and they don't look like they are heavy in any way. One of them said she was moody/teary the first two months. But she said its not like that anymore and shes been on it for over a year now. I have considered that one too but I was on triphasil which has levonorgestrel in it and I am kind of paranoid about levonorgestrel. But I know a lot of people handle that pill well. I would consider going on it if Mircette doesn't work out.

Hello noosiekins I was on Alesse for over 5 years, and I never experienced any problems with. I switched over to Alesse because of it's lower hormone content, it reduced the number and intensity of my headaches (migraines). I didn't experience any differences in cramping, skin breakouts, weight or any thing like that compared to my other birth control pill. Alesse is a very popular brand, you should be just fine!!!

I have been off the pill for almost 2 weeks now ... and feel even better!!!

Good luck to ya : )

I have been on the generic version of Alesse for two years, and I was on the brand name for one year prior. I don't have anything bad to say about it. I don't have the problems that I had with other brands, ie. weight gain, over emotional, low libido. I found much to my husband's delight that my libido actually increased. I am on a Sunday start, and I have found that I usually start my period by Monday morning, and I have a very light flow for about four days. Your body may react differently, but I recommend it.

Good luck.

I've been on Alesse over a year and occassionally will experience breakthrough bleeding in the last week of active pills. Otherwise I have no side effects and I'm happy with it. Good luck!

That was my favorite pill ever, and I have had to try a lot! Unfortunately, my insurance changed to Kaiser, and they dont cover it :( Hope it works for you!
