I have two questions.

1. When will I get my period? I believe I would get it when i start the plecebo pills (the last seven pills in the cycle)., Am I correct?

2. I am getting married in August... If I start now, my period should be regular by then, right? I am planning it so that I don't have my period for the wedding or honeymoon. Thanks for any help. -Katie

I have taken OTC Lo for three months now - your period will not necessarily start the first day of placebo pills. Mine waits 'till Thursday most months, no matter what brand of pill I'm on. It varies, and there's no way to guess unless you've been on it for a few months.

Again, that depends on your individual body. However, if you want to try and skip your period entirely that month, just to be safe (which is what I did when I got married last year), you can check with your doctor and have them switch you to a monophasic pill (OTC Lo is triphasic) and then take the packs continuously, rather than taking the week "off" with the placebo pills. That will usually cause you to skip your period.. in fact there's a pill especially for this, called Seasonale. Check with your doc on it, but I preferred doing that myself rather than worrying about planning around it. Good Luck.

Hello!

I just started taking OTC-Lo, and my first two periods have been starting about 3-4 days before the placebo pills. I know other people also have this problem with OTC-Lo. I just wanted to let you know that the early period is a possibility! Hopefully it will work itself out in a few months!
