Usually take my pill at 10-11pm. the day b4 yesterday i forgot and took it at 5am yesterday morning (well within 12 hour rule) but i forgot again last night and took it at 9am this morning (again within 12 hours of scheduled time) but not sure if 2 days late in a row is dangerous and would this stop it working?

Hi cad_uk, welcome!

Well, as Martha Stewart would say, it’s not a good thing. You are probably ok but you need to get a better grip on your pill taking. If you need help remembering you could try carrying a watch with an alarm set to your pill-time or set a reminder message on your cell phone or computer. Let us know how you’re doing, ok?

Good luck

When I was taking the pill, if I was late with my pill two nights in a row, I would use backup, though theoretically it shouldn't be a big deal so long as you took them within a reasonable time frame. The pill is good for around a 24 hour day, and the closer the pills are to 24 hours apart the better, but your first late pill was at about hour 30 and your second about hour 28. If you take/took your pill on time the next day, it would be at hour 14 or so.

It's up to you, but extra backup never hurt anybody. If I were in your shoes, I would use it, as far as I'm concerned you can't be too careful with these issues. It's not --dangerous--, but your protection may or may not be affected and you'd rather not have to find out the hard way that it was, you know what I mean?

Good luck! Slipups with the pill happen, the important thing is knowing what to do about them.
