So I was just written a prescription for birth control for the first time to correct some menstrual craziness. My visit to the dr. wasn't what I'd hoped and I should have spoken up more but didn't and now am just unsatisfied but can't wait for another appt. to try again. My priorities were to 1) get something really low dose to avoid weight gain 2) hopefully get something generic for money reasons. I ended up with a prescription for OTC-Lo that I am wary about...and I don't even remember her reasons for not prescribing me a generic. SOOO my question is MUST I go back to the dr. to change this or since she prescribed me OTC-Lo could th epharmacist give me the generic if I wanted it? I don't know if this is a stupid question or not I'm just hoping for the quickest solution.
Thanks

I dont think OTC lo has a generic so that is why they couldnt give you one. I would call the office and tell them you would prefer something low dose that does have a generic. Let us know what they have to say.
