New to the pill...Questions

Hi! I'm 22 and new to the pill. I just got put on Ovcon 35 and wanted to know anyone's thoughts on it. So, far it seems to be pretty good. I have no side effects so far and that is what I was worried about. I am taking it at 7:00 P.M., everyday after dinner. Is that a good time to take it, or is it better to take it in the morning? Any kind of input that I can get would be great...thanks!

If 7:00 PM works for you then that is a good time. The thing to try for is a time that will be convenient and will easily become a habit for you. If you think you might have trouble remembering to take your pill then you could set the alarm on a clock or watch or a reminder on your cell or computer to jog your memory. The board considers a window of +/-2 hrs to be on-time but you should try to be as exact as possible. The board also recommends using back-up for the entire first pack while you are learning to take your pills because your period may come at a different time or be of a different consistency than when you were cycling naturally. If it does, then with back-up you know you are protected and won't have pg-panic if AF is different.
Good luck
Jill
