Sex slip-up?

Ok...I have a question for anyone who may have been in this situation/have an answer. Last night, while I was with my boyfriend, the condom slipped off, and we continued to have sex without realizing it for a little while. When we finally realized it, we stopped, and it had totally fallen off. I am not on the pill, but he didn't ejaculate...is there still a chance I could get pregnant? Should I get emergency contraception? Or should I not worry about it since it was only for about 5 minutes?

Better safe than sorry! If it were me, I'd call for the EC, women have gotten pregnant that way--though it's kind of rare, it is possible, and you'd hate to find out later that you should have and didn't, you know?

For the future, you might consider using an additional spermicide with the condom, you can get it in prefilled applicators, as an insert, or a film, and it's good for situations where there's a risk of escapees (spermicide by itself is about 85% effective).

Good luck! The sooner you act, the more effective EC is, so don't take too much time to think about it...

This happened to me where the condom came off inside me and we didn't realize it (he hadn't come yet either).

Just to be safe, I took the morning after pill. Put my mind at ease. I would if I were you...
