patch and working out issues

Just started Tae Bo tonight, but now my patch seems loose. This is the second time in about a year this has happened. Will it "restick" again or not? It seems to be staying on, but the edges are coming up a bit. Should I just watch it or what? If this doesn't work, how bad is Nuvaring?

Just curious

Bad? Depends on who you talk to...if you talk to me, it's not bad at all! But there are some women for whom it doesn't quite fit right, there are others who don't like excess discharge (some women do get that), and there are those that get standard pill side effects with it, but we do have a decent number of women here who like it. It can't hurt to try it, and there's no worry about whether or not it's releasing hormones, it can't come unstuck--if it's there, it's doing its job.

Besides my issue with the hormones in the patch (I can't do that progestin), that stuck/unstuck thing would really get to me. If my patch seemed loose to me, I don't think I'd hesitate to replace it with a good sticky one--it's way better than worrying that it's not working quite right and it's too important to guess, know what I mean?

Just my two cents...

Mine did that about three weeks ago. I called the nurse at that Ortho Evra hotline and she said that I should go by whether or not water could get underneath where it came up. I only had one edge that came up on mine, but when it wouldn't restick water could come up in it. So in my case I changed it and got an extra patch. The number is 877-387-2888. She also gave me some tips on ways to help it stay stuck. She said that a lot of soaps have moisturizers in them so that it helps if while you're about to get out of the shower, if you soak a clean washcloth under the faucet and then rub the patch and area around it with the washcloth, it helps to remove any soapy residue that might remain and make the patch less likely to stick. I've started doing that and it seems like it's really helped. I've gone swimming and in the jacuzzi with my boyfriend which I was really nervous about and it did okay.

Hope this helps.
