Mini Pill

Anyone out there on the progestin-only pill (POP) or mini-pill? I'm wondering what the side effects of this would be. I was on Yasmin and loved it BUT last year started getting the prenancy mask on my upper lip. I switched last month to Alesse and just HATE IT. I feel very mental, my skin is breaking out, etc. I just don't know what to do. I love the way being on a pill regulates my periods but am getting to the point that I feel the bad outweighs the good. I thought maybeing a pill without any estrogen would prevent the pregnancy mask but still have the benefits of regulating my monthly cycle.
PLEASE HELP! I'll be calling my doctor this week to ask for another prescription OR going off the pill completely -- and I'm scared to death about that.

i used micronor and hated it--had lots of breakthrough bleeding (2 periods each month for a few months) it didn't cut down on the heaviness of each period like other pills do-also had lots of moodiness and cramping....

I'm currently using Errin, which is the generic version of OrthoMicronor (and I was actually using OrthoMicronor for probably 6 months). I had problems with a pill similar to Alesse called Levlite. I was very emotional using Levlite and when I stopped using it I no longer had that problem. I started the minipill since I was breast feeding my son. I'm no longer breast feeding, bu I am still using the pill. I have had no problems with it as far as side effects go. The only issue I have with it is that it needs to be taken every day at the same time (even during your period), and if you are more than 3 hours off you must use a back up method. Sometimes it is hard to remember to take it. That's the only reason why I'm thinking about switching to something else. I like it much better than the regular pill. I hear a lot of people have problems with spotting and irregular cycles on the minipill. I didn't have that problem. My period has always been on time and regular.
