Just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to have an iud and still have your period and possibly be pregnant? I would appreciate any input.:)

A regular period or a lighter weird period? If you had a regular period like you normally have, odds are good that you wouldn't be pregnant--the IUD is a very effective form of birth control! If your period was different, much lighter for instance, then there might be something to consider. It's not as common to have bleeding in early pregnancy as it is to hear stories about it, I think everybody knows somebody who did, but if you think about all the women with children that you know that didn't....

Thanks so much, you guys! I have just been wondering because my breasts have been really sore and tender, and they almost seem swollen at times. I have had normal really heavy periods, but I have also gained just a little weight. So, I was just beginning to get a little worried. We were not wanting to have another child at this time. Thank you!!!
