Still bleeding after starting actives?

I tried to see if someone else had posted something similar to this, but I couldn't find anything. I started my new pack of OTC-lo last night. (I take my pills at 10:00 every night.) This is my 4th month on OTC-lo. My period had stopped yesterday morning, (so I thought) but after my fiance and I had sex last night, I started bleeding again. Could this still be my period, even though I am back on my active pills now? I took it at the right time, so there was no longer than 7 24-hour days since I took my last active.

Thanks for any input!

I bleed into my actives, but it stops usually on the 1st or 2nd pill. I think it's normal.

I don't usually start my period until I start on my next pack-actives.

my period usually ends the same day as i start taking actives, but i've found that sometimes if i have IC too soon after my period ends (like, within about 24 hours) i start bleeding again for a few hours. this has been normal with me since before the pill, and for you it may just be that your uterus being more fragile than usual this month. if the bleeding isn't heavy and doesn't last more than a day or two, i wouldn't stress out about it too much. i just play it safe and avoid IC for 24 hours after the bleeding stops, gives my uterus time to really stabilize.

That's been my experience on every pill I've taken--usually I have some spotting until I've been back on the hormones a couple of days, particularly if we have sex toward the end of my period. It's no big deal! The pills aren't an automatic shutoff (as some women who are Day 1 starts can attest) for a period, it can take a couple of days to get things stable again.

Good luck!
