Just wondering, I am very new to the pill, on my second full week of taking it for the first time ever. Anywho, I am having what seems to be fertile cervical mucas. Is this possible that I am actually fertile? I charted my bbt, and cm when my dh and I were ttc our second daughter so I am very familier with this. I haven't been able to get any straight answers, hoping someone here knows? :)

Hi Shay!

Its so great to see a woman who is so in-tune with her body. Its great, no need for the "blushing" icon!

Since you're only in the second week of your very first pack of pills, its totally possible that you are still fertile.Rememeber that you ovulate anywhere from days 8-15. This board reccomends that you continue to use a back up method for the first month of your pills and especially if you are still getting used to remembering to take them everyday *at the same time*.

MG is right. But just a note, some pills can make you more dry than others. With OTC I was like a desert. With LoOvral, I was very well lubricated.

We have been using back up, I was just a bit suprised because my dr told me that after 7 days the full effectiveness would kick in. Thanks !!

Hi sanderson1109, welcome!

Some women chart for the first few packs of a new pill or method just for peace of mind that it is working for them. Once you establish a coverline then if everything is working correctly you should see no temperature shift indicating ovulation. If you chart let us know what you find, ok?

Good luck
