We can't find the condom...

While my boyfirend and I were (well you know what I am talking about) we realizied that the condom was no longer on him. We looked everywhere for it and to my dismay came the conclusion that it must be inside me. We both tried to feel around for but couldn't feel or find anything. I am a little confused on what I should do. Has this happened to any one else and is so what did you do? DO I need to go to the doctor? If anyone could give me their opinion or if you have experienced this I would really appreciate the help.!

Hi natalieerin, welcome!

If you haven’t been able to remove it in a few days then you should visit your doc or a Planned Parenthood clinic and ask for help. But you should be able to remove it yourself or with the help of your bf. By now the condom might have slipped lower where you or your bf can reach it using the first 2 fingers of your hand. If you still can’t reach it then what works well is a large crochet needle with a small hook on the end. With that you can gently and carefully insert it along the back wall of your vagina and feel for the condom. Once you locate it you can snag it with the hook and withdraw it. If you have access to a plastic speculum (available at some pharmacies) you could insert and with a mirror and flashlight look for it or have your bf do it for you. I think careful use of the crochet needle should work. Let us know how you are doing, ok?

Good luck

GOOOOOOOOOO FISH!

You may have to dig kinda deep. If you still can't get at it, go see your doctor. S/he will be able to help.

If you are not on another form of birth control (like the pill), I would maybe get the morning after pill, as the semen could have spilled inside you if it's still up there.

Let us, uhhhh, know if you find it?

And if you're getting friendly with your anatomy (not a bad thing--every girl should know where her cervix is and what it feels like!), it may help to stand with one foot on the side of the bathtub or toilet seat and tip your hips forward a little. That may help you reach further. Squatting and bearing down just a little (like for a bm) may also help. The vagina is a closed-ended tube with a cervix at the end. The opening of the cervix is too small for anything condom-sized to get in it, so if you can find your cervix you've almost gotten to the end.

The morning-after pill is a good idea, it can be effective up to five days later, but the effectiveness decreases with every day so sooner is better than later! Contact your doctor, Planned Parenthood, or some pharmacies depending on where you live.

Good luck!

I know this is late, but just thought I'd let you know this has happened to me also. Only I had a jerk that didn't tell me the condom was no longer on. So for 3 days I had a condom in me and didn't even know it, until I was exercising one day and I felt something coming out of me. I was so lucky I didn't get pregnant or have an STD, cause this was a hook up not a relationship.

I hope you find it. Good luck. I have never had that happen to me, but I'll know what to do if it ever does.

That happened me me and my fiance also, but once we realized it was off, I just reached up and pulled it out. He hadn't come yet, so I'm not TOO worried. I can't take emergency bc, though... cuz of my pulmonary emboli due to the BC pill.
