Question about BCP's
| Tue, 05-18-2004 - 4:07pm |
Hi,
I have a question - I haven't used BCP's in about 10 years and now I started using Orthrocept BCP's - I took the active pills for the three weeks as I was supposed to first thing in the morning. I am now taking the inactive pills and took the third one today - still no sign of my period. Does anyone know an average of how long it would take for the inactive pills to take affect for me to start my period?

It generally takes 2-5 days to start a period after taking the last inactive pill, so you're still fine. And, for some women it takes longer, even as long as the start of the next pack. It takes a month or two to adjust to your new cycle and to figure out when to expect your period. Hope everything else is going well with your new pills!
