i have a long menstrual cycle...more than 30 days...i actually never cared about my cycle (stupid of me, i know) but i just know that if this month i m having it on the first week, i'd have the next around end of next mth. my last period was on the 5th april and now its alraedy 19th may and i still havent got my period. from what i know, the maximum days in a cycle could be up to 45 days. if by the end of today i didnt get my period....do u think there is a chance i might get pregnant? i alraedy have the hcg test kit in handy and m planning to do the test. but i dont really know when to conduct the test. should i do it tomorrow or wait for another 3 days? and btw...i m having some discharge (cervical mucus) that is quite a lot than i usually hv. is that normal? the nature of the discharge is normal (not yellowish or smelly or anything that signs an infection) but the amount of it is more than what i usually hv.
btw...just on a side note...to anyone reading this, i just wanna say that we shouldnt take safe sex lightly. i m learning my lesson now. so, anyone has some advice for me..or
wanna share experience...pls do...i need to talk about this...other than my bf, i cant talk about this to anyone else becoz i live in a very conservative society (i m not from the western country).

If you think this is a normal time for you to have a period, you can test now, but without knowing when to expect it, it makes it more difficult. Cycles can be very long, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear about a cycle that's longer than 45 days, but you never know sometimes.
If you test now and get a negative test, you may want to test once a week until it's been several weeks past the last time you had unprotected sex. If you had unprotected sex in the end of April, you should probably know by now, but it may take another week. If it's possible, you might contact a doctor to see if there's a specific way that you're supposed to proceed to make sure you're not pregnant.
I hope everything goes well. Increased discharge isn't a problem so long as it's normal in color, texture, odor, etc. Some women will notice that they have more discharge when they're ovulating (for several days), and that discharge has a particular texture that resembles egg whites.
Good luck, please let us know how things go!
