depo provera

I wanted to inform anyone out there that if you have depression, whether or not you are on medication for it, depo provera does tend to make the depression worse. I maxed out on the antidepressant I was on and am currently being weaned off that one and onto another one. For anyone who has severe PMS, the depo has helped considerably in decreasing the severity of my PMS. (I should mention that I have lost friends due to my actions and words while PMSing.)
I am aware and hope that you are that everyone's reaction to depo is different. I just wanted you to be aware of what can happen. I am glad I chose depo, despite the problems with my depression. I tried the pill that was least likely to interact with my meds, and I went kinda wacko on it. After long and hard thought, I decided that depo is right for me. Another thing... I had a history of migraine/tension headaches that required semi-narcotics to remove, regularly. I now have headaches around the beginning of my cycle (I can tell it's beginning because my flow is heavier than it was the previous day), and I still have the old headaches. For my marriage, though, depo has been extremely helpful.
I apologize for my long-windedness. I hope that this information can help someone who would rather talk to someone going through it than read the pages of information in the little leaflets they give you when you enquire.
Take care. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
