emergency contraception

I currently take birth control pills (mainly for my skin, but recently as a form of protection as well.) However, this past week I have had an upset stomach with vomitting and diarhea. Just to be on the safe side, I got some emergency contraception because I wasn't sure if all of the pills had been absorbed fully and I had intercourse on Thursday (without a condom or anything.) Instead of giving me Plan B or Preven, she gave me Avene 28 birth control pills, which she said would do the same thing as Preven except the number of pills I would have to take would be higher.
Ok so my question is: Do I keep taking my normal birth control pills as scheduled? The pharmacist told me that I should not take my normal birth control pills today since I was taking such a large dose of hormones today. But should I start back up normally tomorrow?
Also, this may seem vain but I have to ask as I get very freaked out about my skin. Does anyone know if the emergency contraception will give me acne or cause me to break out? I am just wondering about it because EC messes with your hormones and I didn't know if that would have any affect on my skin. Obviously the most important thing is preventing pregnancy- that is for sure my top priority! But I just wanted to check. Thank you so much for taking time to read this and any help you can offer would be great!!

As for skin, you never know what those silly hormones might do, but I would continue with your normal skin care routine so as to not stress out your skin. And if you feel/see acne coming on, just zap it with some benzoide peroxide and use some concealer. A zit sure beats a baby!
