hey everyone,

i didnt really have many problems with my ovcon 35 last month. this is the 3rd month ive been on it, and im starting to have some of the same problems as the 1st month again. the other day i started feeling kind of nauseous, but thats about it. my ovaries are a tad "puffy" feeling, but thats happened the whole time ive been on ovcon. thats the only pregnancy-related symptom im having, but im a tad worried that i went symptom free the first few days then around saturday the side effects kicked in. very little breast tenderness, but that happened last month too. heres the biggie- last month during my inactive pills, i took one diet pill, which didnt have any physical effects on me (i took them before i started the pill and it always made me really jittery) but then remembered youre not supposed to use diet pills. im so scared that i might have messed up my pill, although it was during the inactive week. am i at risk or should i just relax? my nausea usually goes away when i stop thinking about it, and im pretty stressed out right now. i HAVE taken my pill consistently at the right time, so i dont need to worry about that. can someone help me out?

thanks much girls!

Diet pills can affect the metabolism of the hormones, which is why you're not supposed to take them, but I wouldn't expect that you'd have trouble considering that you weren't taking active pills at the time.

Lots of things can cause nausea and bloating! Diet, stress, lifestyle...not just the pill. ;)

Remember too hon--diet pills don't work. They might today or tomorrow, but over the long term, they just aren't the solution for healthy weight loss and can mess with your metabolism if you get into the gain-lose-gain-lose dieting thing. You've got better things to spend your money on! :)

Good luck! I bet everything is going to be just fine...

thank you for the response!

i think i was just stressed out. i have pretty severe GERD too, so that can explain a pretty good part of it. besides that, ive been so stressed that ive been eating more sodium-rich foods..haha cheese curls are my comfort food! its funny how after i finished my huge project for finals that ive been obsessing over, my nausea seemed to go away. i woke up this morning and didnt feel sick at all. thank you for the reassurance, i have a tendency to focus on a symptom and then mysteriously feel more than it really is :X

I spent four months on Prilosec to treat anonymous stomach pain similar to GERD, and the pain magically went away the day after a 16-hour licensing exam. ;) Stress can do hideous things to us! Glad you're okay now...
