Hi, I am posting here for the first time ( I think)...

I started micronor this month and have now been spotting for two weeks consistently.

Hi Sherrie, I know you from someplace, but can't think of where.... ;)

With progestin-only pills like Micronor, spotting is fairly common and something that goes with the territory. It doesn't act quite the same as the combined pills do, there's no estrogen to stabilize the endometrium. You may not have a period this weekend either--there are no days off like with the combined pills. If you do, you do, but POP's can be less predictable than combined pills.

Sorry I don't have better news!

This brings up something I've been wondering about --

Since low/no estrogen is a cause of BTB on the pill, would eating soy and/or taking phytoestrogen supplements alleviate this problem?

I've been lucky not to have any BTB so far on my new pill, but I've gotten to thinking that if it does happen, maybe just an order or two of edamame or some tofu would clear it up.

Anyone seen any research on the subject?

Hi, I should have been a little more specific, I have posted on the gyno board, that is probably where I ring some bells for you!

Thank you for your responses.
