Ortho Evra... why not the leg?

Hi All,
I was reading the product info on my new Ortho Evra Rx and noticed that wear is limited to the buttocks, outer arm, torso and abdomen. My Dr. said it could be worn anywhere but the breasts (causes tenderness). I know the nicotine patch can't be worn on extremities b/c it's not absorbed as effectively. Is that why the bc patch can't worn on the leg?

I think you're right, that the effectiveness probably drops when the patch is worn in places other than where the maker recommends. If you are thinking of trying it elsewhere I hope you decide not to. That’s not the sort of thing you want to experiment with. Why take a chance of reducing your protection, right?
Good luck
Jill
