I've been on OTC-lo for three months now, and I've just gotten my period for the *second* time this month. I got it on the 11th (about two weeks ago) and it only lasted for about four days. To my surprise, I was bleeding again this morning, complete with cramps (which I haven't had for the past few months).

Has this happened to anyone else when still new to the pill? Is it something I should be worried about?

It happened to me for about 3 months when I started MICRONOR...I HATED IT...probably has something to do with our bodies getting used to the new adjustment to hormones and all...

Within the first few months of starting any new birth control pill, some women experience what is called breakthrough bleeding. This is light bleeding that lasts for only a few days. It is called breakthrough because it happens in between periods. As long as the bleeding is light, then you don't need to worry. But if you notice the bleeding becoming heavier, lasting longer, and/or becoming more frequent, you should contact your doctor.

Good Luck!
