Have you experienced this on the pill?

Hey girls, hopefully somebody will be able to help shed some light on my question.

I've been on Ortho Tricyclen for about a year and a half now with little difficulty... I take my pills religiously at the exact same time everyday, have never missed a pill and haven't been taking any antibiotics etc etc that could have affected my pill use. Plus my boyfriend and I don't get "frisky" (lol) without a condom, ever.

So here is where the quesiton comes in...

I really have no reason to believe that I am pregnant, however on the second of my 4 weeks of pills I started to have a tiny bit of soreness of my nipples only, something that used to happen to me frequently before I was on the pill, right before I was about to get my period (it kinda signalled to me when I was about to get it). This has happened to me once before on the pill, about six months ago, and everything turned out okay. But I am worried since they say one of the early signs of pregnancy is breast tenderness.

Since I haven't frequently had PMS symptoms while on the pill (although I know it is possible), I am kinda worried. I wanted to know if anyone else sporadically experienced similar symptoms while on the pill for an extended period of time, without having experienced them before. I know that this can also be attributed to hormonal changes not related to the pill, and to the pill itself, so I'm not so worried yet. Plus it began only a couple of hours after the first time I had had sex this cycle, and I was until then "cleared" from pregnancy. But anyway, input that anybody could give to me would be greatly appreciated. I'm a natural born worrier... you all know how it is I'm sure!!

Thanks all!!

I think you are in the clear, from what I read what you wrote. The body is funny that way, hormones and all. As long as you are taking the pill correctly and to add that you are using condoms also, you should be fine.

Don't worry so much :)

Thanks areisgrl72, I really appreciate your reply. I know I'm probably just over-worried, but it's nice to get a mental check sometimes =)

sounds like normal pms symptoms to me....depending on which pill I was on over the years I had more tenderness around period time.
