Another - mono vs triphasic

Ok ladies, so supposedly monophasic pills are supposed to cause less moodiness and such.

Well when I was on nuvaring (which basically doles out the same dosage all the time), I was SUPER moody.

BUT this was also the first hormonal control i'd ever tried.

And now i'm on triphasic. But I really cannot tell, it's been a weird few months as is.

So ladies, tell me your experiences - who has preferred monophasic things? And triphasic? Please share. :-)

I was on Ortho/Novum 1/35 for quite a few years back in my 20's...and for some reason I wanted to switch to Triphasil..so my doc switched me. I had horrible headaches so I switched back to Ortho Novum. My doctor recently suggested I go back on the pill and I asked her about the new triphasics and she pretty much thought the monophasics work best because there is a constant level of hormones vs. the fluctuating on the triphasics. Which makes complete and total sense to me now...

I know that everyone is different, but I've had a lot better experience on a monophasic pill than I had on a triphasic pill. I was on ortho-tricylcen (a triphasic pill) and I had troubles with being super moody. I switched to Levlen (a monophasic pill) and I like it a whole lot better. That's just my experience but I've heard that a lot of women prefer monophasic because of the constant hormone level.
