I think I'm pretty sure I allready know the answer to this question, but I just want to be sure. I am on Levlen and I recently caught a cold. I've been taking Dayquil, Nyquil, Alka-Seltzer, decongestant medicine, and others. I just want to be sure that these medicines don't interfere with the effectiveness of the pill. As far as I know I think that they don't. I'm pretty sure that it's only prescription medicines that compromise the efeectivenes of the pill. I would rather be safe than sorry though! Thanks

I swear by the Eckerd Drug Interaction tool! I like it because it lists both rx and OTC drugs, as well as some herbals and vitamins. It also cross references with food and alcohol interactions. And it puts everything in a clear, easy to read form. (I promise I don't work for Eckerd, I just love this site!)
