I need some help!! I have been on the pill for about four years now, about a year ago my doctor had me start taking the pill two months through without breaking for a period. (due to headaches) Everything has been great but this last time I decided to take it an extra month straight since I was going to be at the beach when aunt flow was supposed to come visit. Well this past Saturday morning I started having breakthrough bleeding!! I have never expierienced this before. It's not heavy like an actual period. A co-worker said I could be preggo? What to you ladies think?

Thanks~Rachael

If you took a third month of birth control pills without a break, even though your body is accustomed to two, that could totally cause breakthrough bleeding.

Bleeding is not usually a sign of pregnancy, an absence of bleeding is!

You're likely fine. When you go back to your regular regimen, your bleeding pattern is very likely to go back to normal.
