Hello everyone, just a quick and silly question. I've read in the board that you can take a pg test from day 1 you're late. What if you have regular period but think you might be pregnant. Should the test show + even if you haven't been late?

Thanks !

If you believe you conceived in that month but also got your period, than it is not too late to test. Usually the pregnancy hormone shows up on a test 2 weeks after conception. Some take a little longer due to lack of hormones being in your urine, not that the test was not accurate.

Even though you had your period, what makes you believe you are still pregnant? If you had a normal period, chances are you are not pregnant. If it was lighter than usual and you just have a hunch, by all means test now!

Goodluck to ya!

Thanks Dani for your answer. I just have this question cause for some weeks I had little cramps, tummy got bigger, and feeling something strange, i can't describe it. All began like 3 months ago, i had sex (on my very fertile days) with my bf but he came outside. I took EC pills and my next 3 periods were normal. The idea of being pregnant was in my head so I took the pg test. It was negative. One week later i took another, - as well. So now that i've been reading all about period when pregnant, pg test, being late, etc. so I wanted to know if the pg test will show if you're pregnant eventhough you haven't been late and with regular period. I have been told, that's unlikely to me of being pregnant but I just wanted to be sure about the test.

Thanks again :)

Oh if you have had that many periods after having unprotected sex, and 2 negative tests, you have nothing to worry about!! It is RARE to have periods while being pregnant (although some may think it is more common, but indeed it is actually uncommon) Not to mention most of the time women who do have periods while being pregnant, their periods are VERY light. SO if you are having normal periods, you are not pregnant. Maybe you should look into the pill or other forms or birht control as to prevent future pregnancies. Its not all that uncommon for your body to change and get a little tummy... I do all the time! (i notice it more when i'm expecting my period ;-)

Good luck to you!

You can sleep tonight!

Thanks again ! now i can sleep well...i just had so many ideas coming up and the sole idea of being pregnant was killing me! after people telling me no way i'm pregnant, and then reading in the board some things that can happen, confussed me.

after these weeks of "living hell" i will definetly look into BC.
