pill time--3 weeks in Europe

This seems like a silly question, but I want to double check on this. I'll be spending three weeks in Europe in August. I usually take my pill around 2 pm, so if I'm in a time zone six hours ahead I should take it at 8:00 pm while I'm there, right? (It shouldn't make a difference that my body is adjusting to the time change--I just have to make sure I don't succumb to jetlag and remember to take it every 24 hours. Or should I ask my doc?)

Take the pill every 24 hours - if you are travelling to a new time zone, just adjust for the time change. So if 8pm at your destination is 2pm at home, you take your pill at 8pm in your destination.

Hi alexandra_s2004, welcome!

You are correct, if you are in Europe where the time is 6 hours ahead of where you normally live then 8:00 PM in Europe is 2:00 PM at home. Once you are in Europe, if you find 8:00 PM inconvenient you can either take your pill one hour later each day (say 8 pm to 9 pm etc.) until you get it where you want it. Or, if you want to take your pill earlier than 8:00 PM you can move your pill-time all at once. Shortening the time between pills (less than 24 hours) is fine. Lengthening the interval (more than 24 hours between pills) should be done in 1 hour increments or move it all at once and use back-up for 7 days. Of course, if you change the time relative to your home then you will have to change it back when you return. Enjoy your trip!

Good luck
