...and Im guessing since nothing is really specified officially that it doesnt really matter but does anyone know if it's generally better to take Yasmin on an empty stomach? With food? With water? As someone who has taken supplements almost all her life and knowing that for certain supplements to work correctly you need to be specific about how you take it it was just a question that crossed my mind.

it won't affect the efficacy of your pills to take with or without food or water, but some women find that they're less likely to get nausea if they take their pill with milk or a small amount of food, like crackers.

since you mentioned you take supplements, i just wanted to remind you that some herbal supplements (particularly st. john's wort) can interact with birth control pills and alter their effectiveness. you might want to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about which supplements you take and whether they'll have an effect on your BCP.

Hi atthebeach1, welcome!

I found, when I was on OCs, that a glass of water and some food, a few crackers, helped when I was having a hard time keeping them down. What supplements are you taking? Some herbal medicines and diet pills can interact with hormonal contraceptives and cause them to be less effective. I would be very careful what supplements you are taking along with OCs.

Good luck
