My BF and I were having sex yesterday and the condom slipped up inside of me...he hadn't ejaculated yet, but we found and removed it. I am 39 years old...have uterine fibroids and an ovarian cyst...maybe too much information, but would it be possible to become pregnant from this? I was right in the middle of my cycle, and do track my fertility somewhat just by using a chart and feeling for cervical mucus. PLEASE HELP!

It's entirely possible that this could have gotten you pregnant. Sperm are present in his pre-ejaculatory fluids and if the condom slipped off, there's a good chance that some of them may have gotten into you.

My advice is to see a Dr right away and get the Morning After Pill. It works for preventing pregnancy up to 72 hours after unprotected sex. But, the more time that passes between the unprotected act, the less effective the MAP can be. The faster you can get there, the better.

Also, I would consider getting yourself on a reliable form of birthcontrol because its pretty obvious that using condoms alone isn't going to cut it. You can rush off to get the MAP every time a condom slips/tears/breaks/you dont use one.

Good Luck!

Thanks for your speedy reply back. After reading some posts on here and thinking that it could be a possibility, I went to see my doc yesterday afternoon and she told me, while the chances may be slim that I could be pregant from the condom slipping up inside of me and he didn't ejaculate yet, why would I want to take that chance? So, she gave me prescription for Ovral and took two last night and two again this morning. I have had no side effects as of right now. My doctor said she is pretty certain I will not become pregnant (because of no ejaculation, age (39), history of fibroids), but wondering how much I need to wonder about this still? Has anyone become pregnant after using EC at my age? I took it less than 24 hours after it happened, so I got in to see my doc right away. Any help or comments back would be appreciated!

Also, since I am 39 years old and have never had children (don't want any), what would be a good form of birth control for me to ask my doctor about? I do not want to be on the pill. Thanks!

Sterilization would be something to consider. If you have reached 39 & are certain you don't want children, it would be ridiculous for your doctor to refuse!

Good Luck, whatever you decide.
