Hey all!
I was orignally on ortho Tri cyclen, and the pharmacist switched me to Tri Nessa ( the generic brand) and i was on that for a couple of months, well i think that it was making me break out not to mentiont he packaging on the product was too difficult to break the pills through! So i just switched back to Ortho ... I havent missed any pills and I am very strick with how i take them, Is there any lack of protection from these moves?
Thank you so much!
Melissa

The FDA requires generic drugs to be ‘therapeutically equivalent’ to the brand name so you are quite safe switching between the generic and its brand. However, there may be some slight differences in the ingredients that will cause some side effects until your body becomes accustomed to your new pills.
Good luck
