Birth Control Timing...

Hi everyone!
This may sound like a really stupid question, but I've been curious about it ever since I started taking the birth control pill and I never asked anyone. I know that in order to make the bc pill effective, you have to take it at the same time every day. But is there a specific amount of time that you can miss? I'm not explaining this well... I mean, if you're late by an hour one day, does that make a difference? Or two hours? Or does it have to be within ten minutes or else it starts to be less effective??
Just curious!! I've never heard of a specific time, and I'm often an hour late or early. Just wondering if that's affecting how well it's going to work!
Thanks in advance,
- Alex

Iti is my understanding that you can take your pill 2 hours on either side of the normal time you take it. In other words, if you normally take it at 8:00 a.m., you can take it as early as 6:00 a.m. but no later than 10:00 a.m. Hope this helps.
