OTC-Lo Questions

Hello Ladies,
I'm on OTC-Lo...I am getting ready to start week 3 & this is the second month I have been on this. I know I have to give it 3 months but by the time I get to to the 6th day of the 1st week of pills I start spotting..this is needless to say very annoying! Is this caused by my body not getting enough hormones? Also if I am not getting enough hormones could I possibly get pregnant?

Irregular bleeding is a common side effect when beginning or switching hormonal contraceptives. It usually takes about 3 cycles for your body to adjust to the hormones in your pills. Endometrium control is a separate function from ovulation suppression so if you have been taking your pills correctly you should be protected from pregnancy. I know it’s annoying. Just hang in there another 1 or 2 cycles to give OTC-Lo a good try. Let us know how you’re doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
