Does NuvaRing make you feel 'Yeasty'?

Hey all-
I'm a BIG fan of the NuvaRing and have posted a few replies to people on this board about how much i love the ring.
but in the recent couple of months, right before i take the ring out, i've had a day or two where i feel a little yeasty/itchy. Of course, I've been seeing someone for the last few months and am having steady sex for the first time in a long time.

So, i guess, do other Ring users find that they are a little yeasty right before their periods or could this be caused by (FINALLY woo hoo!) having fairly regular sex? or perhaps some combination of both??

It could be a combination of both factors, or it could be ring-related, or it could be neither! ;) Is this your first hormonal contraceptive? Others may not cause that feeling, but if you're happy with the ring otherwise you might consider whether it's a big enough issue to warrant changing anything. If you're using spermicidally lubricated condoms (and you probably should be), those can contribute to changes in vaginal pH that can allow yeast to overgrow a little bit.
The good news is that a little yeast overgrowth can be taken care of by the body in a lot of cases. If it becomes a problem, then you can treat it, but if it's bearable, sometimes the body has a way of getting that straightened out without need for chemical assistance.
Good luck!

It's not my first hormonal contraceptive. In fact I was different pills for about 10 years. (with a few months on depo, which i hated!!) but i've been on the ring how for about 9 months. However, after a VERY long absense of sex from my life (like 3 years), I have recently started again to have a very active sex life...so i wondered if perhaps that was part of the cause. We do always use condoms with spermicide- so that could be affecting things i suppose.
No, it's not a problem that would warrant anything changing- i was just curious if others had a similar feeling!!
Thanks again for the info!
