Don't want period on vacation: problem!

Hey All-
I have a very important vacation coming up and looking out at the time periods in which I will be on my period, I find some of that time falls very inconveinantly on my vacation! And of course it falls on the part where I have planned a romantic weekend with just me and my husband, and he hates making love during my period!
I am on a 21 pill method and 7 day off pills, and usually take about 3-4 days to begin bleeding once off the BC. My period usually lasts about 4-5 days. So noting all of this I managed to figure when approximately I would begin my period and that it fell during this vacation.
My problem is that I wondered if it was alright to try and plan your period for the next month & 1/2 around something like this? Could I stop taking the pills early this month? Or take them longer?
What do you guys suggest?
Thanks for the help!

If you're on a triphasic pill (different doses through each cycle), the advice is to repeat the last week of active pills to move a period one week.
Because you don't know how well this will work, it's best to do it as soon as you figure out that you're going to have an issue so that when it's vacation time it's all taken care of and you're in the clear.
Good luck!
