OTC lo BTB and placebos

Ok on my second month (third week) of OTC lo-- havent missed any pills at all. Im amazed at myself for that feat alone-- anyway i started bleeding again today i had BTB starting on my 3rd week last pack How bad would it be if i just started a new pack and skipped my placebos this month? I know they dont have anything in them but would it make me bleed longer if i skipped them? what about if i opened a new pack and took the third week of it next week? I dont really have much of a goal although i would like to be period free on the 10th of July. Thats not a must though-- im just wondering if me taking the third week or starting a new pack monday would either make the bleeding last longer or make it stop earlier? Any ideas? Did i confuse anyone? let me know if i did-- i have a tendency to confuse others.

If you are bleeding on the 3rd week of OTC-Lo then I think you would probably continue to bleed if you skipped the placebos and took the 3rd weeks pills from a new pack. The third week hormones aren’t strong enough to keep your endometrium stable at the moment. I think you would almost certainly continue to bleed if you began the 1st weeks pills (a lower dose of progestin) from a new pack without taking your placebos. Unfortunately you aren’t far enough along on OTC-Lo (3 cycles or so) to have given your body a good chance to adjust to the hormones in your pills. So it’s six of one and a half dozen of the other.
If you continued to take the rest of your actives in this pack then cut your placebo week short, taking only say, three of them to get your period out of the way, and then begin a new pack (on what would usually be your 4th placebo day) would that clear the 7/10 date for you? It would change you start day but might be worth a try. And remember, when moving your start date, you can reduce your placebo days but you can not increase them over 7 24-hour days hormone free or you will loose your protection. Let us know what you decide, ok?
Good luck,
