need advice--missed pill

I'm currently on OTC and today (Saturday) should be the day I take my last active pill. But when I went to take my pill tonight, I realized that I have one more left--meaning that somewhere during the past few weeks, I forgot to take one. I've been on vacation and it must have just completely slipped my mind.
I acutally haven't had intercourse this month (thankfully, my vacation was with my girlfriends--no husbands/boyfriends allowed!), but I did fool around pretty heavily with my boyfriend a couple of days ago. And now, strangely, I've started spotting--even though I'm still on the active pills. I usually don't get my period until Tuesday of the placebo week.
Could I be spotting because of the missed pill that I just found out I missed? Is there any reason to be worried about the fooling around a couple of days ago (no penetration, but still...when there's ejaculation involved, I worry)?
Thanks for any advice, everyone.

Hmmmm... yeah, I would be a little worried to, if I were you. But, you would think that as long as his ejaculate (or PRE-ejaculate) didn't come anywhere near your vagina then you should be fine.
As for the spotting, its probably because you've missed a pill somewhere in there and your body is just adjusting to the little lack of hormones it's encountered.
If you're worried though, you can always take a home pregnancy test, just to ease your mind. There's nothing you can do about it now, right? If you were with your bf more than 72 hours ago, its way too late for the morning after pill so what's done is done.
Good luck and hope everything goes alright for you!

I think you are probably ok. Missing one pill mid-pack isn't usually a big deal. Your spotting suggests that you might have missed that pill recently and your body is reacting to the dip in hormones. I agree with Jenn, as long as his fluids didn’t come in contact with your vulva, directly or on your fingers or his, then you should be fine. Let us know how you’re doing, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
