Hi girls! Just a question for you all...

I was on the pill for 7 years and just recently went off it this january and I need to start something again soon so I have a prescription from my doctor for an IUD. I am quite happy about this because I like the idea of not having hormones in my body again.

So my question is, is anyone using an IUD called "nuvo t"? Im not sure if I'm spelling it right but any information, opinions or anything u have on the nuvo t...:)

Thanks to all! Best wishes to you:)

Hi vicky0830, welcome!

The Nova-T IUD is available in Canada. See: http://www.optionsforsexualhealth.org/facts/fs413.htm It is a copper IUD and is effective for 2 ½ years. Jenn, one of our regular members, has a Nova-T. I’m sure she will be by to share her experiences. I hope you like your Nova-T Let us know how you’re doing, ok?

Good luck,

Hey Vicky!

I think I just might be the only one on this board who uses the Nova-T IUD. Like Jill said, its good for 30 months (2.5 years); you might wanna check out the link she posted for you. It's from a foundation based in Canada so it's accurate for us Canadians (prices mentioned etc...). Also, you might want to check out http://home.intekom.com/pharm/schering/nova-t.html I'm sure you've read most of the stuff on there before, but it deals specifically with Nova-T rather than Mirena or Paragard.

Stick around, there's a lot of helpful women on the board. SEE you later ;)
