If you are taking your pills correctly they are very effective, about 98-99%, and you should be quite safe. The instances of women having their periods after becoming pg are quite rare, not nearly as frequent as reading posts on this board would lead you to believe.
Good luck,
Jill
i am on ortho-lo, my last active pill was tues. 7/13. the week before i started cramping moderately, very sore lower back, headaches, sick to my stomach, diarreha.
so i spotted wed, some yesterday, some today. but my back is still very achey, my hips and upper legs hurt, i have had this awful taste in my mouth...so much so that it is hard to eat or drink cause it tastes funky, still have diarreha, i get really hot, then i freeze, i am dead tired, i am still crampy, gas like you wouldn't believe, and heartburn, my gums hurt and are really sensitive too.
Did i mention that my back hurts? it hurts soo bad, i hate sitting in my chair!!!
so Do you get the withdrawl bleeding?
If you are new to hormonal contraceptives it will take about three cycles for your body to adjust to the hormones in your pills. It typically takes 3-5 days after the last active pill for Aunt Flo to arrive. You should begin to see a pattern after the first few cycles as your periods begin to stabilize in what will be a normal period for you on OTC-Lo. Aunt Flow should be along any time now. I hope you're feeling better soon.
Hugs,
Jill
