Will someone help me....

So i last had sex on may 27th and we used a condom. on may 22nd he went in me a little and then pulled out but he was in me for only a few seconds. I made him come out b/c he didnt have a condom. so i had my period on june 7th and it was normal. I had cramps and clots. It was normal. I started birth control FOR THE FIRST TIME on june 14th. I was still worried so i took a HPT on the night of June 17th. It was negative.

I havent had sex since may27th. I got my next period on july 7th it was a little lighter but it still had clots and i cramped. but it was a little lighter. I guess this is due to the birth control! So im here to ask COULD I STILL BE PREGNANT? I'm not wanting to be. Im freaking myself out i know this is stupid and im sorry but i need someone to ease my mind. i think my veins in my breast are more noticible about could that be from the Birht control or in my head? Help!!!!!

PLEASE DONT PASS THIS PLEASE RESPOND!!!!

you've had two peroids and a neg with a hpt i think it's safe to say that your not pg the changes you've notice are just from the hormones in the bcps.

Hi Missy, welcome back!

OK, let’s review. You had IC with your BF in late May and haven’t had IC since. You got your normal period in early June. You began OTC on June 14th, one month ago. You had a pill period in early July and you have had some breast tenderness and other symptoms typically experienced by new pill users. From what you have posted everything sounds totally normal to me.

You should be fine and have nothing to worry about. Any symptoms you are experiencing are probably the result of your body adjusting to the hormones in your pills. That adjustment usually takes three or so cycles before side effects disappear. If you think it worth the price you could test again. Personally think it would be a waste of money but it might be worth the peace of mind to you.

However, your continuing anxiety does raise the question of whether you are psychologically ready for IC with a man. If you think you might freakout each time after the two of you are together then perhaps you should ask yourself if it’s worth suffering the mental trauma you have been going through. If you are still freaking it would be a good idea to talk to your doctor and get his or her opinion. We have all been there, just try and relax, ok?

Thanks jill,

thanks for all the help. I have discussed my anxiety problems with my b/f and we both agreed that it would be best if we didnt have IC anymore well at least for a while. I know that i suffer from anxiety i guess thats why im so worried I plan on talking to my docotr and trying to figure out a good medicine to help with the anxiety. Currently mine is not working (i just switched meds in may.) I will keep you posted to tell you how im doing. Once again thanks a bunch.

I love this board

Mmmm...Anxiety medicine? What medicine are you on? Did you ask your doc. or pharmacist about possible interactions with hormonal contraceptives? Type the name of your med. into this drug advisor and see what it says about any interactions. http://www2.eckerd.com/content.asp?content=pharmacy%2Fdrugadvisor&cookie%5Ftest=1 Whatever is said here, if you haven’t asked your doctor or pharmacy then you should. And do so again when you switch meds, right?

If you haven’t had IC since May and you have had two periods since then there should be little concern that you are pg now, but if you continue with your pills and decide to have IC again you need to know if your meds could decrease the effectiveness of your pills and you should use back-up.

Hey Jill,

So i went to that link you gave me and I typed in Wellbutrin b/c that is the med that i am on. It did not say that it would react with the BC so i assume im okay but i will double check next week when i go to the doctor. I was reading about wellbutrin and it says one of the side effects is anxiety. I dont understand why my doc would give it to me if it could cause anxiety! HMMM..... I guess the doc and i need to chat! i would like to get this all undercontrol. I also read that OTC can cause anxiety. Hmmmm i wonder how that will effect my meds. I need to ask that. :( alot of questions i hope i remember them all. Ill write them dowm. That will help. Well i will keep you up to date.

Thanks for all the help
