seasonale vs. alesse??

hi everyone
i just have a quick question, i saw a commercial for seasonale that said you'll only get 4 periods a year 'cause you take the pills for 3 months, but i'm on alesse and i don't want to switch. i've heard that it's ok to just take one pack after another for a few months straight without stopping for a period, but i just want to make sure. so is that ok to do?
thanks a bunch :)

You should talk with your doc first to see if there are any reasons that s/he might not want you to take your pills that way. However, many women can take their pills back to back without problems. It is easier to do on a monophasic pill like Aleese so you should be set. If you want to try taking them for three months at a time like Seasonale you should ask your doc to write you a prescription for the extra packs. If your pills are covered by insurance your insurance Co. might balk at the additional expense, something you might want to check out. Let us know what you decide, ok?
Good luck,
Jill
